T'see The Others

An invitation has been sent
For the lords to descend
On moon, to witness the plight
Of men for ever so slight

T'see, the rain of their roof
T'see, their floor with a kloof*
T'see, the dark of their night
T'see, the lamp refuse to ignite

T'see, the drought of their food
T'see, the damp of their wood
T'see, the flood of their thirst
T'see, their memories of no erst#

T'see, the hope in their eyes
T'see, the b'lief in their^ lies
T'see, the sink in their face
T'see, them fooled by their^ grace

T'see, their dignity been robbed
T'see, them cheated and jobbed+
T'see, them then pitied with spite
T'see then, be seen their place as right

An invitation has been sent
For the lords to descend

The lords in this poem is a reference to the self-styled rich lords who think they are above the rest and treat the poor as muck. Specially to those who cheat the poor to become rich.

* kloof means cleft in Africaans
# here erst is used for past
^ here their means the lords'
+ here jobbed is stabbed

The pic is taken from Google.

I love the words used, the ironies and the sarcasm!
